La Isla Pranburi Beach Resort

This hotel is hidden away at the end of the bang pu beach, if you are visiting prays Nakhon cave this place is about 5 minutes drive from there. It’s very quiet with a private beach on one side and the river estuary on the other side. Very quiet and peaceful. I only visited the small coffee shop so I can’t comment on the hotel rooms. The hotel was built 17 years and is owned by the sugar company in Kanchanaburi, everything looks good and well maintained. The small coffee shop is good for a quiet coffee and watch the boats go by, they also have smoothies and some Thai style cakes.

Beautiful resort property inside Khao Sam Roi Yot national park. The place is by the beach although it's not the best beach in the area. A bit tricky to find but not tricky enough Google maps can't locate. The place is just beautiful! I mean you have the mountain right in the front like a backdrop the location is at the inlet of the ocean sort of like an island and so you can see the colourful fishing boats passing by mid morning. The surrounding is very quiet and peaceful. You can sleep quietly at night. I felt at peace getting away here from the buzz of the city. It is very near the popular Phraya Nakhon cave (which is impressive check out my review on it). It's a 5 min by car to the ticketing area. The rooms are nice, but not impressive. I got the basic room. Pretty much most rooms have sea view except those towards the end of the building number 219 and 220 which are on 2nd floor, these have a bit of view but it's largely blocked by the roof of one of the villas. Then the corresponding rooms at the bottom of 219 and 220 which don't have any view at allof the see as are fully blocked by the villa. However those have pool access, which I believe are more expensive. I got 218 and on top and had a sort of partial view but good enough. Mattress and linen are comfy. I was very happy as mattresses in Thailand tend to be very hard. The rooms come with a daybed in case you need it for an extra person. Rooms were rather pricey for the type. But then it was the end of the year, hiest season. I'm sure low season is budget friendlier. Restaurant: The restaurant offers a la carte menu. The list is varied, mostly seafood based dishes, butakes it a bit more challenging to order as the photos are very limited to about 8 dishes for the whole menu. Also the staff is limited on English skills. I successfully used translate. The breakfast is good enough. However if you have diet restrictions it will be very challenging. I don't eat gluten, dairy and eggs, so I was left with white rice some salad and a thai dish of the day, usually meat based and chicken sausage. After 3 days it got a bit boring. They have a side cafe by the inlet of the ocean, which is very nice. Again no Non dairy options. Luckily I carried my own oat milk from home and brought it to them to make my coffee and cha thai. The staff is very nice and friendly and do their very best to accommodate. Recommendations for the hotel: -More options during breakfast. -A coffee machine at breakfast -Be more accommodating of diet/food restrictions like more veggies, oat/soi/almond milk for drink options. -Make a passage from the back parking lot to the hotel. And build more shelter for the parking lot space. -More photos for the resturant food menu.
